the final leaf

a note of gratitude + farewell to 2024

the final leaf

As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself filled with gratitude for the incredible support and encouragement I’ve received from all of you this year. The publication of Tell Me My Story has been a milestone made meaningful by your kind words, shared reflections, and unwavering belief in its message—and in me. Together, we’re building a community grounded in empathy, compassion and connection, and for that, I am profoundly thankful. As we step into the new year, I’m excited to continue this journey with you—exploring new ideas, deepening our connections, and nurturing the hope that each season brings. To close the year, I offer this poem as a reflection and a promise of what’s to come.

Wishing you a safe, healthy, and restful new year.

with much love + gratitude,

the year
slips away like mist at dawn, its
moments
scattered,
some sharp, some soft,
lessons
etched in the folds of my days, as
grief and
grace and
gratitude
tangle together
like roots beneath the soil,
whispering—

you are stronger for this.

the final leaf drifts,
settling,
not with regret but
resolve,
leaving space for what’s next—
the unseen, the
unspoken, the
infinite stretch
of
what might be.
